In honour of the highly volatile Full Moon happening in a sky near you today, here are three things that you can do to minimise stress. We may not be able to change the environment and the status quo around us, but we can change how we ride the rocky waters- the challenges and hiccups that can come speeding down our side of the road.
(1) LET IT FLOW.
Just like the Moon affects the tides, it also affects us. We are mostly water, no?
If you feel tired, rest. If you feel energised, use the energy. It’s as simple as that, but we don’t often do things simply.
Remember that whether you rest or you are actively engaging in physical exercise, you are in fact using energy in some way. As with the laws of physics, energy simply transforms from one state to the another.
Don’t be hard on yourself and allow yourself to soak it all in.
(2)ATTEND TO YOUR PHYSICAL NEEDS
The health of your physical body is important for your overall health. That said, we are much more than the physical body- we are emotions, thoughts and much deeper down, the soul. The time of the Full Moon is a powerful time to consciously work with these deeper layers such as through energy healing. These are the most important aspects to work with for overall health in most cases.
Yet, at times of stress and high energy times like at the Full Moon, it is important to provide the body with optimal amounts of nutrients so that it, too, is not stressed and overworked as it responds in kind to the stimuli all around. These nutrients include water and mineral salts. Remember, a little goes a long way.
(3)GET CREATIVE
The high energies of these times provide ample space and potential for unleashing creative ideas and inspirations. The Full Moon is often associated with a time of completion of a project or venture. It is a powerful time to go on a creative journey that is nurturing to the soul and the whole self. Make something out of what may seem like nothing to someone else, almost as if you were extracting it out of thin air. There is something about getting creative that connects us with ourselves in such profound ways that we don’t often understand.
There is also something about a creative act such as writing that caresses the soul. From the solid touch of your pen against your hand to the decadent, delicious feeling of allowing your thoughts to stream from far-out places in your body to be interwoven and interpreted in the swirling vortex of your mind. When the thoughts are cohesive and meaningful, it streams through your arm to your finger and lastly, makes contact with your pen and reveals as words on a page.
If you’d like to experience a greater connection with your creativity amidst all the other parts of your self, you are more than welcome to attend the Colour with Clarity Workshop Series that starts this weekend. It will expand on all these areas mentioned above- deep inner healing, energy awareness, creativity- in more detail and in the presence of pure fun. This is a live event and it is FREE for a limited time.
